

Australian Airports serve an important function in shaping the overall tourist experience – as the first and the last place visited in Australia.
Tourism Australia, in conjunction with Australian Government Border Control Agencies and Australian Airports, has developed a Travellers Charter to welcome and farewell travellers. In addition, the Charter informs travellers of their rights and provides them with an opportunity to provide feedback (positive or negative) on their experience.
The Charter specifically states that when you pass through Australian airports you should expect:
- A professional service;
- Fair treatment under Australian law;
- Reliable information and advice;
- Processes to be completed as quickly as possible; and
- Staff to respond to your concerns, including referral as appropriate.
