

Tourism and Conservation Join Forces to Identify Iconic Landscapes
Tourism Australia and Parks Australia have forged a partnership between tourism and conservation to identify Australia’s iconic landscapes, which capture and promote the best of Australia and are sort after by the global target audience of Experience Seekers.
The Red Centre has been identified as the first National Landscape. To coincide with the announcement a documentary, The Red Centre, has been produced by award-winning filmmaker Sorrel Wilby, to celebrate this iconic Australian landscape.
The documentary, which is sponsored by Tourism Australia, Parks Australia and Tourism NT, is available exclusively to Australian Geographic subscribers, in the January – March 2007 issue of the magazine.
The Red Centre is known around the world as a world class Australian tourism experience, which captures the depth of what Australia’s key experiences feature including nature, touring, Aboriginal culture and outback – all in one easily accessible location.
