ATE is our premier annual event for promoting Australia’s world-class tourism experiences to the global travel distribution network.
The Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) was held in Adelaide for the first time since 2010, in partnership with the South Australian Tourism Commission. Over the four-day program, ATE18 provided the opportunity for attendees to do business and network with industry colleagues as well as experience vibrant Adelaide and its surrounds. Over 45,000 appointments took place between 650 international and domestic buyers and Australian tourism seller delegates from 540 companies. Before and after the event, international buyers and media travelled to other destinations in Australia to experience Australia’s tourism offering first-hand.
The economic benefit ATE delivers is significant. It was projected a $9 million boost into Adelaide’s local economy would take place during the event. Longer term, ATE helps to grow Australia’s $100 billion tourism industry through the relationships and future business established. Collectively, ATE buyers bring close to three million* passengers each year with an estimated pre-booked spend between $5.5 and $8.5 billion* (plus on-ground spend in Australia). *Values based on ATE applications.
