Consumer Trends
- French travellers have a strong desire to travel to the United States, (+21% increase in 2023 vs. 2023), as well as Japan, which has been particularly popular amongst French travellers this past year, in direct bookings and trade, and has surpassed pre-pandemic numbers, along with the Dominican Republic. Although French travellers claim they choose destinations based on value for money, looking at the popularity of destinations such as the United States and Japan shows they are ready to dedicate large budgets to travels. They also like travelling to French speaking destinations, such as Mauritius or French overseas territories. The 2024 Summer Olympics will disrupt this summers’ travelling behaviour.
