Aussie tourism sellers go walkabout in Japan

16 September 2015

Over 400 Japanese buyers attended workshops and seminars with 54 Australian seller delegates at Walkabout Japan 2015 in Osaka and Tokyo from 8 - 11 September.

The event provided opportunities to establish new business relationships and train front line travel sellers on the latest Australian product.

During the Walkabout, Tourism Australia’s Regional General Manager for Japan, Andrew Reilly, and the Chairman of the Japan Association of Travel Agents, Mr Tagawa, updated trade media on the positive outlook for Australia in coming months.

There is excitement amongst the Japanese trade with the recent announcement of Qantas’ increased services to Australia and the return of All Nippon Airways after 16 years.
