Federal tourism ministerial changes

Tourism Australia welcomes the reappointment of The Hon Steven Ciobo MP as the Minister representing the tourism sector in the federal cabinet. Minister Ciobo retains his portfolio with the new title: Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment.

The Hon Keith Pitt MP, Federal Member for Hinkler, has been appointed Assistant Minister for Trade, Investment and Tourism.

Due to the ongoing Senate vote count in Tasmania, Senator the Hon Richard Colbeck has not been appointed to the new ministry.

Tourism Australia Managing Director John O’Sullivan said that he looked forward to working with Minister Ciobo and Assistant Minister Pitt and thanked Senator Colbeck for his support and commitment to the tourism industry during his time as Minister for Tourism and International Education.
