Restaurant Australia attracts global attention

Last week Tourism Australia invited four of Australia’s best chefs to prepare brunch for international media attending this year’s World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards. The event celebrated the announcement that Melbourne will be hosting the prestigious awards in 2017. The awards will bring the world’s top food and wine influencers, journalists and chefs to the Victorian capital to experience Australia’s unique culinary offering. Following the announcement, over 200 articles have been published, gathering an audience of over 704.7 million. Furthermore, since the launch of Restaurant Australia in 2013, food and wine spend has grown over $1billion.
