Excitement for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) continues to build in Malaysia with sports broadcaster Astro Arena airing a two-part ‘G’day Gold Coast’ special to a potential audience of three million.

The program follows the adventures of Rimau, the mascot of the Malaysian team, as he visits GC2018 mascot Borobi who takes him on a fun journey exploring the Gold Coast.

The program gives viewers a sneak preview of the Games Village and the city’s world class venues. The trip was hosted by Tourism Australia and Tourism and Events Queensland.
