Commuters in Singapore invited to make Australia their next destination
29 September 2015
An estimated 20 million train passengers on Singapore’s busy North East Line are being encouraged to make Australia their next destination with fantastic Australian experiences advertised throughout the carriages.
Dynasty Travel, one of Australia’s key distribution partners in Singapore, is promoting a suite of Australian packages on board two trains throughout the month of September.
In addition, Dynasty Travel has revamped their Australia microsite to be mobile-responsive and is promoting Australia through print advertising, travel fairs, consumer events, social media and a monthly email blast.
Each year since 2010, Tourism Australia has been working with a select group of Singaporean travel companies as part of its Key Distribution Partner (KDP) program to increase the total booking value of visitors to Australia.
Through the program Tourism Australia and the Key Distribution Partners work together on a range of co-funded marketing activities such as print, TV and radio advertising, website and social media promotions, events and roadshows. In addition to improving the visibility of Tourism Australia’s marketing these partnerships also leverage the partners’ brand equity to increase the appeal of Australia.
Singapore is Australia’s fifth largest inbound market for visitor arrivals, sixth largest market for total visitor expenditure and 13th for visitor nights. For the 12 months to July 2015 there were 373,000 visitors from Singapore.
