  • There were 6.2 million visitor arrivals for year ending February 2013, an increase of 5.0 per cent relative to the previous year.
  • There were 1.1 million visitor arrivals to Australia during the two months to February 2013, an increase of 4.0 per cent relative to the same period of the previous year.
  • There were 604,600 visitor arrivals during February 2013, an increase of 9.1 per cent relative to the same period of the previous year.

New Zealand

  • There were 73,800 visitors from New Zealand during February 2013, bringing the total for the two months to February to 155,900 an increase of 2.8 per cent relative to the same period of the previous year.

Europe

  • There were 64,200 visitors from the United Kingdom during February 2013, bringing the total for the two months to February to 122,000, a decrease of 3.9 per cent relative to the same period previous year.
  • There were 17,800 visitors from Germany during February 2013, bringing the total for the two months to February to 31,300, an increase of 2.3 per cent relative to the same period previous year.
  • There were 9,500 visitors from France during February 2013, bringing the total for the two months to February to 18,900, an increase of 3.8 per cent relative to the same period previous year.  

The Americas

  • There were 49,100 visitors from the United States of America during February 2013, bringing the total for the two months to February to 91,200, an increase of 6.8 per cent relative to the same period previous year.
  • There were 13,100 visitors from Canada during February 2013, bringing the total for the two months to February to 25,800, a decrease of 1.9 per cent relative to the same period previous year.

Southeast Asia

  • There were 29,700 visitors from Singapore during February 2012, bringing the total for the two months to February to 47,200, an increase of 15.4 per cent relative to the same period previous year.
  • There were 25,000 visitors from Malaysia during February 2013, bringing the total for the two months to February to 37,300, an increase of 12.7 per cent relative to the same period previous year.
  • There were 14,300 visitors from India during February 2013, bringing the total for the two months to February to 25,700, an increase of 1.2 per cent relative to the same period previous year.
  • There were 11,000 visitors from Indonesia during February 2013, bringing the total for the two months to February to 19,600, a decrease of 1.5 per cent relative to the same period previous year.
  • There were 6,000 visitors from Thailand during February 2013, bringing the total for the two months to February to 11,300, a decrease of 1.7 per cent relative to the same period previous year.

Japan

  • There were 32,000 visitors from Japan during February 2013, bringing the total for the two months to February to 54,700, a decrease of 7.8 per cent relative to the same period previous year.

Northeast Asia

  • There were 110,100 visitors from China during February 2013, bringing the total for the two months to February to 168,800, an increase of 16.8 per cent relative to the same period previous year.
  • There were 16,200 visitors from Korea during February 2013, bringing the total for the two months to February to 37,100, a decrease of 7.7 per cent relative to the same period previous year.
  • There were 22,100 visitors from Hong Kong during February 2013, bringing the total for the two months to February to 32,600, an increase of 7.6 per cent relative to the same period previous year.
  • There were 10,800 visitors from Taiwan during February 2013, bringing the total for the two months to February to 18,100, an increase of 13.8 per cent relative to the same period previous year.
