Air New Zealand campaign takes off in the US

Tourism Australia and Air New Zealand have launched a new campaign promoting North American flight options to the airline’s Australian gateways.
The digital promotion, which runs to 11 November, features fares to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Cairns, Adelaide, Gold Coast and Perth for one low price from Los Angeles, San Francisco and Houston as well as Vancouver to all destinations except Perth.
In celebration of Air New Zealand’s increased presence in Texas the offer includes a special $99 add-on fare for other Texan cities plus access to a one-day free Virtual Australia exhibit in Houston visited by 100 media and over 300 consumers and industry.
Media and industry were given a special preview of the Virtual Australia exhibit last week where they enjoyed Air New Zealand’s hospitality, experienced the Air New Zealand Skycouch and watched Tourism Australia’s virtual reality videos.
Media including the Houston Chronicle, Dallas Morning News, Houston Business Journal, CityBook and Dujour, STOS, and Houston Consul General and senior trade commissioner Alastair J M Walton were among guests who enjoyed Australian food and wine.
Tourism Australian and Air New Zealand also participated in an NBC ‘Houston Life’ show story with a live audience inviting viewers to visit Australia and book the Air New Zealand offer.
The Partnership team and Air NZ hosted an after work reception and training event with more than 25 local agents who heard updates on Australia, the Aussie Specialist Program and virtual reality videos.
The US market is Australia’s third largest by arrivals and fourth largest by spend. Canada is Australia’s 14th largest market by arrival and 12th largest by spend. Find out more about the Amercias.
