Australia On Show At Imex America

Tourism Australia’s specialist unit, Business Events Australia, will highlight Australia’s strengths as an incentive and association destination at IMEX America, one of the world’s largest business events trade shows.

Joining the Australia stand at IMEX America is a 23-strong delegation of Australia’s business events industry, representing an array of destinations, airlines, convention centres, accommodation, team building experiences and destination management companies. 

During IMEX America, Australian industry will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face and do business with international business events planners who can deliver business for Australia. 

“Last year, more than 50 business leads were generated for Australia at IMEX America, highlighting the tangible results for industry in joining Business Events Australia at international trade shows,” said Penny Lion, Executive General Manager Events, Tourism Australia. 

Business Events Australia will also launch the latest edition of Australia Innovates at IMEX America. This bi-annual magazine for the association sector features some of Australia’s brightest people excelling in their field of expertise, including Professor Mark Kendall who has created the Nanopatch, a safer and more effective way to deliver life-saving vaccines.

“While Australia is a place that offers unique wildlife and beautiful landscapes, it is also a place of innovation and discovery. Australia Innovates is a great way to highlight this to international decision makers through the stories of our people, who are excelling across a range of fields and industries,” said Ms Lion. 

IMEX America is held in Las Vegas from the 10 to 12 October.
