Business Events Australia brings major events to life in NZ

Some of Australia’s most unique major events came to life in Auckland last week at a function for 50 of New Zealand’s top business event planners and corporate incentive travel decision-makers.

Hosted across three separate zones in a Heritage listed wharf building, guests were given a taste of Opera Australia’s Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour, Melbourne’s Australian Open and Bruce Munro’s Field of Light installation at Uluru.

“New Zealanders are familiar with Australia’s business events offering, but this was an opportunity to give them another reason to consider Australia by showcasing some of our inspirational major events across the arts, culture and sport,” said Penny Lion, Executive General Manager, Events for Tourism Australia.

We acknowledge the Traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Owners of the land, sea and waters of the Australian continent, and recognise their custodianship of culture and Country for over 60,000 years.
