The Aussie Specialist Program (ASP) is Tourism Australia’s global online training program, run with the cooperation of the State and Territory tourism organisations. The program is designed to provide travel agents and distributors with the knowledge and skills to sell Australia more effectively. The Aussie Specialist program has won awards for ‘best training program’ in the United Kingdom, Asia and United States of America.

Benefits of the Aussie Specialist program

Tourism Australia promotes the qualified Aussie Specialists globally to consumers through marketing programs and directs consumers interested in travelling to Australia to these retail travel agents. The program also provides an opportunity for Australian tourism suppliers to educate the Aussie Specialist network on their product or service.

Tourism Australia maintains active relationships with the qualified Aussie Specialists through trade events, the online training program, e-newsletters and familiarisation trips to Australia.

By becoming an Aussie Specialist, retail travel agents can gain access to training, resources and the knowledge needed to sell Australia with confidence. The Aussie Specialists are a dedicated group of retail travel agents who are hungry for knowledge on Australian travel products and services, and want ideas and suggestions that can help them design better experiences, improve itineraries and better serve the needs of their clients.
