Aussie Enthusiasts is a Tourism Australia initiative designed to assist the travel industry develop and promote Australia as a tourism destination in markets where Tourism Australia does not have an active presence. It recognises the contribution of industry in these markets to tourism to Australia and seeks to enhance their contribution to the export tourism industry in Australia.

Who is it for? The program provides support to international travel trade who are located in a market where Tourism Australia does not have an active presence and is available to all international agents, regardless of location. It is also available to agents through their inbound tour operator partners in Australia. It is delivered through www.enthusiasts.australia.com and Austrade's network in 57 countries around the world.
How does it work? The Aussie Enthusiasts Program delivers progressive levels of support to travel agents based on their experience with Australia. The program consists of three levels:
Step One is for agents with limited experience selling Australian programs. Step One entrants receive access to Tourism Australia and Austrade resources to assist in establishing a program to Australia including:
- Registration in the Aussie Enthusiast Program via www.enthusiasts.australia.com
- Referral to Austrade for business profiling
- Destination presentations for staff training and consumers
- Maps and itinerary pro-formas for destination training
- Destination information
- Access to high quality online video and image libraries
- CD of artwork to use on posters, tour shells and other collateral
Step Two is for those agents expanding or formalising an existing Australian program. Step Two participants receive all Step One resources, plus:
- Registration in the Aussie Specialist Program via www.specialist.australia.com or www.aussiespecialist.com
- Referrals to meet Tourism Australia staff at key global events i.e. ITB, WTM, PATA Mart, WYSTC.
- Consumer brochures or collateral i.e. postcards, motivational brochures.
- Potential to partner with Austrade at consumer and trade tourism events involving Australia.
Step Three is for those agents with an established Australian program. Participants receive all Step One and Two resources, plus:
- Invitations to Tourism Australia events such as ATE and Dreamtime, depending on the business focus.
