Tourism Australia undertakes integrated marketing programs in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea in North Asia and India, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand in South East Asia. The focus of each program has been tailored to suit the unique requirements of each market, however the messages position Australia as a short-to-mid haul destination with sophisticated, city-based Western experiences and unique, accessible natural attractions.
In the more mature Asian markets, such as Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong, activities focus on giving travellers new reasons to visit through highlighting new product experiences. In some of the rapidly emerging North Asian markets such as China, the focus is on educating consumers and trade about the destination.
