New event for international media alongside ATE14

Full story

As part of the new look to this year’s Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE14), Australian tourism operators are being offering the chance to showcase their product to up to 70 international and domestic media at Tourism Australia’s new event, the International Media Marketplace (IMM).

Held immediately prior to ATE, from 9 to 11 May 2014 in Palm Cove near Cairns, IMM will provide an opportunity for Australian operators to meet with broadcast, consumer and trade media as well as leading digital influencers from around the world.

The IMM program will involve a series of one-on-one appointments, networking sessions, workshops and events. Run on behalf of Tourism Australia by TravMedia, IMM also features the option to learn new social media skills by attending a travel-focused New Media Workshop.

The IMM format has been introduced to ATE to provide a singularly focused program for Australian tourism product and travel PR representatives, alongside the state and territory tourism organisations, to connect with media from around the world.
