The Cruise Industry

Cruise shipping plays an important role in the Australian tourism industry. All of the world’s leading cruise lines include Australia in their programs – ranging from expedition style cruise lines and mid-range ships, to mega ships and up-scale lines.

Tourism Australia activity

Tourism Australia was a sponsor at Cruise3sixty, the official cruise conference of the cruise line industry held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2014. Tourism Australia hosted a destination workshop during the event in partnership with Air New Zealand Vacations. Additionally, a booth exhibition in partnership with Destination New South Wales, Tourism Western Australia and Tourism Northern Territory further promoted Australia as a must-visit cruise destination.
