On 21 February 2022, Australia once again started welcoming fully vaccinated international visitors from all its key tourism markets around the world.
All fully vaccinated visa holders can travel to Australia without an exemption. All travellers entering Australia are required to present a negative Rapid Antigen Test and comply with the arrival and quarantine requirements of the relevant state or territory.
Australian citizens and permanent residents
Fully vaccinated Australian citizens, permanent residents and temporary visa holders are permitted to travel internationally without first seeking an exemption. Fully vaccinated travellers returning to Australia are required to present a negative Rapid Antigen Test and comply with the arrival and quarantine requirements of the relevant state or territory.
Working Holiday Makers
Fully vaccinated international students, skilled migrants, and refugee, humanitarian, temporary and provisional family visa holders including Working Holiday Makers (WHM) can travel to Australia without an exemption or quarantine. These cohorts are required to present a negative Rapid Antigen Test.
